POINTS OF INTEREST

  • Historical Downtown is the place where began the history of one of the biggest cities in the world. The places of interest are: Square of the Constitution, National Palace, Cathedral, Bigger Temple, Street of the Currency, Square of St. Domingo, Portal of the Evangelists, Inquisition Palace, Museum of the Cartoon, Supreme Court of Justice, Palace of Fine Arts, The American Latin Tower, National Museum of Art, Theater of the City.

  • Chapultepec Park: "Cerro del Chapulin" in nahuatl. It was a summer time residence of Aztec nobles, the viceroys' feudal castle and emperors' mansion. It is surrounded of different types of trees, but it is characterized by its "ahuehuetes". Places of interest are: National Museum of Anthropology, Rufino Tamayo Museum, Modern Art Museum, Castle of Chapultepec, Chapultepec Zoo, "Papalote" Museum for children.

  • Polanco: It is a small residential area where numerous art galleries, restaurants, hotels and embassies are. The main street, Masaryk, is a corridor that has commercial malls and boutiques of the most exclusive international brands.

  • Paseo de la Reforma: It is one of the most important avenues in the City. It was built by the Emperor Maximiliano of Habsburgo to connect the Castle of Chapultepec to the National Palace. The Angel of the Independence is also located there.

  • Zona Rosa: Area where galleries, elegant boutiques, restaurants, coffees outdoors, bars, discos and night centers are concentrated.

  • Basílica de Guadalupe: Place visited from all over the world by the Catholics to worship the Virgin of Guadalupe, well know as "Patrona de Mexico." On December12th is carried out a very big pilgrimage.

  • TEOTIHUACAN: It is not only a monumental city, but also a place where murals' painting reflect the world of the mythical figures of gods, jaguars, beings of the night and aquatic skies. In this way, the City had craftsmen's neighborhoods that came from far away areas as Oaxaca and Yucatan. Furthermore, the City had its neighborhoods of Mayan and zapotecas groups.

  • CUERNAVACA: From pre-Columbian time, this city has stood out for become a place to rest as much the Aztec emperors as the Spanish conquerors, and at the moment, the inhabitants of Mexico City. You can visit the Cathedral, Cortes Palace, the archaeological area of Teopanzolco and Roberto Brady Museum.

  • PUEBLA: In this City, great quantity of temples and angelical icons can be appreciated, besides museums as "El Gonzalez" and the House of the Culture. It also stands out in the industrial sector, mainly in the textile one.

  • XOCHIMILCO: It is an excellent place and favorite walk for weekend, besides it is the only place in the world where the sowing is still used in "chinampas". It main attractiveness is to travel by its diverse channels in the famous "chalupas", while you will enjoy mariachi music and regional flowers.
