La Paz is a colonial city, capital of the state of South Baja California, located 170 km, to the north of Cabo San Lucas.

 

 

BEACHES

  • Balandra: It is called in this way because there is a stone with the same name. It is a special beach to rest and to see the beautiful sunsets.
  • Tecolote: Calm beach without high waves. It has "palapas" so that people camp in them. There is also a small boat house where all type of diving equipment, aquatic motorcycles and trici-motorcycles can be rented.
  • Espiritu Santo Island: Special beach for people that like to dive and to enjoy wonderful landscapes under the water.
  • Playa los Cerritos: It is characterized for being a special and unique place to practice fishing.

 

  • Isla Cerralvo: Special place for fishing where people will find tuna and marlin.

 

  • Puerto San Carlos: It is famous because of its gray whales, during winter, besides the delicious lobsters.

SPECIAL PLACES

  • Hotel California: Famous internationally because it is an old hotel and it was the inspiration for the author of the "Hotel California" song.
  • Misiones: In this place there is the oldest mission in the area, well know as "Resuscitated Jesus Christ Mission."
